The Importance of Copywriting for Businesses

Now more than ever – and moreso day by day – content is very important. You may be sick of hearing it, but content really is king. Unless you are capable of bringing it all in house, you need content writing services that are geared towards success. Your success.

When conversion copywriting – good brand storytelling, in other words – is done well, it makes people want to buy what you’re selling. Good sales copy grabs attention and makes people act. It’s a key part of successful marketing. Businesses that use persuasive writing well can get noticed.

    Understanding Copywriting

Copywriting is more than just pounding out some verbiage or filling up a page with drivel. When done correctly, it tells a story that people vibe to – your brand’s voice and message.

A great copywriter can make a simple product sound exciting. The job is to show how it meets a person’s needs, wants and desires, often on a subconscious and emotional level. You sales copy will sing — and your sales will soar — when you have the highly persuasive brand storytelling that only a gifted freelance copywriter can deliver.

When copy does that, it’s great copy. Unfortunately, anything less is a waste of time and effort, and it may actually hurt your business.

    Why Businesses Need Skilled Copywriters

Every day, and more and more businesses built an online presence, they come to understand the value of good copy and great copywriters. This is particularly true with small businesses. Not too many years ago, your need for good marketing copy pretty much ended with the Yellow Pages – and they could come up if need be.

Today, things are different. Hugely different. Most people don’t have conscious thoughts about good copy vs. bad copy. They just knew it when they see it, and go on from there. Bad, boring copywriting won’t grab or hold a prospects attention. This is why a professional business copywriter is so important.

Good copywriters bring the fresh. They help you talk about your products in a way that grabs and holds interest. With this, you stand out and have a good chance of gaining a prospect, if not a customer. Without it, you’re wasting your time – and theirs!

Why You Really Need and SEO Copywriter

We all know what SEO means these days, right? What businesses owner hasn’t heard the term. It’s become ubiquitous.

To be clear, SEO stands for “Search Engine Optimization,” and when you’ve got it working for you, great things tend to happen. When you don’t, well, not so much.

After all, being seen online is key for businesses today, so this is where not just a copywriter, but an SEO copywriter comes in. Such individuals know and undeerstand how to combine two “black arts” into one powerhouse combo.

The first of these is the aforementioned SEO. The second of these is conversion copywriting which dovetails with effective brand storytelling.

Good content keeps people coming back. It also helps your site show up higher in search results. Bad content can hurt your site’s ranking.

”55% of small businesses have reported that quality copy and content led to increased success.”

Copywriting is all about getting people to do something. It can really help with sales. Even though it costs more, it’s worth it for the results.

Professional copywriters create content that works. They know how to talk to your audience. This helps your site get more visitors and your brand to shine.

    ERC - Employee Retention Credit

The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) program—technically called the Employee Retention TAX Credit (ETRC), but both terms are now used interchangeably—was another special financial relief program (in the vein of PPP) provided by Congress for US businesses.

The goal was to incentivize operations of all types and sizes to retain employees during the COVID-19 pandemic by offering tax credits which would come in the form of refunds. Unfortunately, most businesses either didn’t hear about the program in time or found the program so confusing to apply for, that it got forgotten. Then, in 2021, the program sunsetted.

However, there is really great news! Congress has re-extended the tax credit through 2023, meaning that many businesses which did not or could not participate in the program now have a second chance. And it’s not to be missed! You can get as much as $26,000 per W2 employee.

    Get Your Fair Share

Businesses across the USA are recouping tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars (the big market chain Kroger, for instance, is reported to have gotten $21 million from the ERC/ERTC). This program is no joke and as it only takes a few minutes of your time to see if you qualify, it’s about as close to a no-brainer as you’re ever going to see.

As you might expect, though, there is a catch; the program ends soon, so if you want to find out if you qualify, you need to ACT ON THIS NOW! Read on for more info about how we can help you get qualified today, in just a matter of minutes. But if you can’t wait, just click the button below to be taken to the CPA firm we’re working with. Applying will only take a few minutes, and the process is 100% FREE.

    More On the ETC/ETRC Program

The ETRC credit has been made available to businesses that were adversely affected by the COVID pandemic. The payouts are intended to offset payroll taxes. It’s like a cash bonus for keeping employees on the payroll during the bad old days of 2019, 2020 and 2021.

As you may know, the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) was introduced to provide small businesses with loans to help them retain their employees The ETRC provides another avenue for businesses to access financial support earned during these trying times. Businesses that received PPP loans may also be eligible to receive the ETRC, which can provide up to $26,000 per W2 employee.

Unfortunately for many companies which use contractors or freelancers, 1099 “employees”/workers do not qualify. Similarly, if you’re a solopreneur, you’re out of luck.

Get alerts on new posts, vids, freebees and more. No spam, no scam, no flim-flam!

Are You Eligible for the ETRC?

To be eligible for the Employee Retention Tax Credit, businesses must meet certain criteria.

    • First, they must have experienced a significant decline in gross receipts during the pandemic. Specifically, your business must have experienced a decline of at least 50% in gross receipts during a calendar quarter compared to the same quarter in the previous year.

Alternatively, businesses that were fully or partially shut down by government order may also be eligible for the credit.

    • Second, businesses must have retained their employees during the pandemic, even if their operations were limited or suspended. Businesses that furloughed or laid off their employees may still be eligible for the ETRC if they rehired those employees before the end of 2020.

The ETRC provides businesses with a tax credit equal to 70% of the qualified wages paid to employees, up to a maximum of $10,000 per employee per quarter. This means that businesses can receive up to $7,000 in tax credits per employee per quarter, or up to $26,000 per employee for the entire year.

ERTC - Employee Retention Tax Credit

PPP is Over, But You Can Still Collect With ETRC, Even in 2023!

Importantly, businesses that received PPP loans are eligible for the ETRC. However, businesses cannot claim the ETRC on wages that were paid for with PPP loan proceeds. This means that businesses must carefully track which wages were paid for with PPP loan proceeds and which wages were paid for with other funds.

One of the reasons many businesses failed to take advantage of ETRC back in 2020 was the time and complication involved in applying. Most small business owners and harried managers simply didn’t have the time to fight their way through the complex rules and procedures in order to even apply for ETRC.

    Recoup Your Pandemic Losses

Overall, the ETRC provides an important financial lifeline for businesses that have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. By providing a tax credit for businesses that retained their employees, the ETRC has incentivized businesses to keep their employees on payroll, which in turn helped stabilize the American economy.

Businesses that received PPP loans should carefully consider whether they are eligible for the ETRC. Kroger received over $25 million dollars in tax refunds, and you may be missing out on a sizable return if you let this opportunity pass you by.

    Apply for the ERC/ERTC Today!

We strongly urge you to take advantage of this valuable program. Let it do what it was intended to do. That being, help you recover from the severe economic challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent economic downturn.

  • The Importance of a Google Business Profile for Small and Local Businesses

The Importance of Google Business Profiles for Small and Local Businesses

Google is Today’s Yellow Pages; Google My Business is YOUR Free Half Page Display Ad!

At the extreme risk of dating myself, I’m going to refer to Google (specifically, the Google search engine, which 90% of people in world use) as the Yellow Pages of today. In other words, the phone book. Which, if you’re under 30, might sound like a quaint conceit from the “olden times.” 😉

In any event, with Google being the place virtually everybody goes to today to find not just info about subjects that interest them, but increasingly, as the main tool for local shopping, it’s essentially supplanted to old phone book as the day-to-day way consumers find what they are looking for.

And this point cannot be stressed enough: Even if you, Mr. (orMz.) Business Owner don’t use Google daily, the rest of the world does, including all of your customers!

Odds are, you did look up something up on Google several times today, if not in the last few days. Just like the millions upon millions of people searching each and every day for the products and services they need and want locally. So much so, that according to Google, 47% of all searches have local intent!

Oh, and 1 out of 2 of those go on to buy locally! Can you see why having an optimized Google Business Profile (GBP) is so important, and why not having one is costing you money?

Perhaps needless to say, small and local businesses benefit enormously from having a properly optimized Google Business Profile. NOTE: for those who may be confused or are unfamiliar with the new terminology, GBP is the new name for what was called Google My Business (GMB) for a number of years.

    Google Business What?

But wait! Whoa! You may have just crawled out from under a big rock and be wondering: “What the heck is the Google Business Profile?” If so, there’s not need to feel embarrassed, because you’re in good company.

It’s actually not a strange question, because also according to Google, nearly 50% of small and local businesses have not claimed—and therefore are not taking advantage of—this remarkable business building and lead generation tool. Literally millions of businesspeople simply have not heard of the GBP or, if they have, do not understand how critically important it is to their own success—and future.

Ignoring GBP is done at one’s peril. It’s like letting your local competition walk in and take over without so much as putting up a fight!

But for the smart business person, the fact that around half the competition isn’t taking advantage of what’s available for free is not just an incredible oversight, but an equally incredible opportunity. Again, assuming one’s business profile is setup right and being using correctly. More on that below.

The Google Business Profile is Powerful Free Advertising—And Then Some!

One way to think of the Google Business Profile is as a half-page display ad in the Yellow Pages of old, except that this does not cost you so much as one single penny.

And like large display ads of old, this one will make you money from the start—if it’s set up right! Which leads us to this salient point: Of the millions of businesses that have Google Business Profiles—and the same can be said of other “social media” profiles like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.—only a small percentage are taking full advantage of what’s available to them for making connections, spurring consumer action and sealing deals.

In short, the Google Business Profile is a free and highly valuable tool to manage your online presence across Google, including in Google Search and on Google Maps. Shockingly, research and anecdotal evidence alike increasingly demonstrates that the Google Business Profile may be more effective than all of one’s social media profiles put together and even—gasp—more important than the company website!

The Many Remarkable Benefits of the Google Business Profile

Here are some key benefits of having your Google Business Profile setup properly and maintained regularly. Yes, just like all other social media, it is highly recommended that you “feed the beast” with new content regularly. The big difference is, this is the one Google really cares about… which means it’s the one YOU should care about if you want to be taken seriously by the big G, and receive the maximum possible benefits (interest, leads, new and repeat business, etc.) from your profile.

    Visibility and Reach

    • Increased visibility: Google Business Profile helps reach more customers by making it easier to find the business online.
    • Increased online presence: Expands the online presence and reach to customers searching for products and services in the area.

    Accuracy and Trust

    • Improved accuracy: Ensure accurate and up-to-date information about the business, such as hours, contact information, and photos.
    • Enhanced reputation management: Manage online reputation by responding to customer reviews and feedback, building a positive reputation, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

    Insights and Analytics

    • Insights and analytics: Valuable insights and analytics about the online presence, such as search and view statistics, and customer engagement through Google.
    • Better decision making: Use insights to make informed decisions about marketing and advertising efforts.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Mobile Accessibility

    • Better SEO: Improves the business’s search engine optimization by ranking higher in Google search results with completed profile and relevant information.
    • Increased mobile accessibility: Makes it easier for customers using mobile devices to find the business and access important information.

Wrap Up on the Google Business Profile

In conclusion, a Google Business Profile offers a simple and effective solution for small and local businesses to manage their online presence and reach more customers. By utilizing this tool, businesses can increase their visibility, improve accuracy, enhance reputation management, gain insights and analytics, improve SEO, and increase mobile accessibility. Consider setting up your Google Business Profile today!
